S Hotel and Resorts Public Company Limited and its subsidiaries or (“Company”) places a high priority on the safety and occupational health of its employees, recognizing it as a fundamental right. Human resources are crucial for driving the hotel business forward and are valuable assets for business growth and advancement. Therefore, the board of directors, management, and related departments have established safety and occupational health policies to ensure the safety and health of Company's hotel employees. Regular checks on safety equipment, such as standard fire extinguishers, are conducted annually to ensure they are in working condition. Company believes that investing in the safety and health of personnel and stakeholders is a means to prevent risks for employees and hotel guests. Accidents can affect the reputation and confidence of employees, guests, and other stakeholders. Hence, Company is committed to continuously improving safety and fostering a culture of safety and occupational health within the company.

  • Board members, executives, and employees must adhere to and perform their duties in strict compliance with laws, policies, regulations, and standards regarding quality, safety, occupational health, and the working environment.
  • Measures to control, supervise, and prevent various losses due to accidents, fires, work-related injuries, illnesses, property damage, security measures, incorrect work procedures, and errors that may take place. Ensuring a safe working environment is maintained.

Safety Training

Singha Estate Public Company Limited conducts safety training for Company’s employees, including theoretical and practical fire training for supervisors, to raise awareness and understanding of fire prevention and control laws.

Hotel Cleanliness and Safety

Amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, hotels adhere to the Amazing Thailand Safety and Health Administration (SHA) standards to boost confidence among Thai and foreign guests. The Company self-managed hotels in Thailand have all been certified with safety and hygiene standards (100%). Specific hotels like SAii Laguna Phuket received SHA+ certification, and three others, SAii Phi Phi Island Village, SAii Koh Samui Choengmon, and Santiburi Koh Samui, received SHA++ certification. Annual checks are performed on fire alarms. Additionally, fire hydrants, extinguishers, and automatic sprinkler systems are installed and regularly inspected (annually).

In addition, the company has installed fire hydrants, fire extinguishers, as well as sprinkler systems or automatic fire sprinkler systems in the hotel areas where employees work in case of a fire emergency.
