Koh Phi Phi, Thailand (27 September 2018): Phi Phi Island Village Beach Resort has launched a new family-focused experience aimed at teaching its young guests about Koh Phi Phi’s rich marine environment and the importance of conservation.

The new “Kids Care” initiative will allow children staying at the resort with their parents to learn all about the natural world in Hat Noppharat Thara-Mu Ko Phi Phi National Park, which surrounds Koh Phi Phi and its neighbouring islands. Up to two children under 11 years old can stay for free under this package. 

This protected area is home to an amazing diversity of marine life, including colourful corals, tropical fish and exotic species including sharks, sea turtles, rays, octopuses, seahorses and many more. To showcase these aquatic ecosystems, Phi Phi Island Village Beach Resort recently launched its Marine Discovery Centre, which houses a series of informative interactive displays. It also operates a special programme to re-introduce clownfish and bamboo sharks back into the region’s waters.

Under the new Kids Care programme, children will be able to take part in complimentary educational workshops with the Marine Discovery Centre’s resident marine biologists.

Kids will also receive one daily ice-cream from the resort’s Chaba Gift Shop!

Children will be kept engaged and entertained throughout their stay with workshops at the Marine Discovery Centre and free daily activities such as coconut painting, pool sessions, kayaking and more (subject to activity schedule).
